We often as adults overlook the thing that stands right in front of our very eyes. Perhaps it's because we just don't want to get involved. But it's that very decision to not help that could count as abandonment or even neglect. The sad fact is most of the people that surround us ignore all the signs of abuse. The fear of the abuser often intimidates the person being abused to the point where their life is not there own. If their voice isn't heard this saturation sometimes ends in violence...
