"Red Eastern Sun" contains many poems, which were written to match the author's mood, sometimes dark. A few of the poems contain an Eastern feel or theme.

"Sweet Love" is a book which is dedicated to Jen's husband, Travis Potts. It contains three small poems and one large poem-all of which describe her feelings of true love.

"Jailbreak: Poems Inspired by Thin Lizzy" was wrieetn while Jen listened to the band's music. Jen has been a fan of Thin Lizzy since 2010.

"The Last Dark Night" is a compilation of poems which Jen wrote during her second semester of graduate school, in the spring of 2004. Many poems in the book deal with subjects such as aging. This was when Jen pondered the next stage of her life after finishing graduate school.

"Shades of Bleu" is a book of poems which contain expressed thoughts as Jen prepared to receive her master's degree, which was a pivotal point of her life.

"Cul-de-Sac" is comprised of poems, quotes, sayings, previously unpublished letters to editors, and one short story. It's a large mix of works all gathered at the bottom of the bag.

"Written Invitations" is a book of poems which was written on leftover wedding invitation envelopes. As always, these poems contain themes on various thoughts and emotions.

"Illustrated Sentiments" is a book of poetry accompanied by some illustrations. Again, Jen thought this would be her final book of poetry, so she included a short story entitled "Free," in which a woman by the name of Rebecca seeks to walk away from her current lifestyle.

"Daily Comments" is a "poetry" journal which is comprised of one word written per day for the entire year of 2014. To supplement the comments are explanations for why a particular word or phrase was written.

"So Long, for Now" is Jen's fifty-first book of poetry. The author decided to take a break from the genre so she could concentrate on her prose. Jen did not publish another poetry book until nearly two years later.

"Twilight Alehouse: Poems Inspired by Genesis" is a book of poems which the author wrote while listening to early Genesis and Peter Gabriel's first two solo albums. Jen has been a fan of Genesis since 2006.

"In Medias Res" is a book of short poems written by the author. The title has nothing to do with its contents, but they are similar in nature to her previous works.
