This Mill Avenue Vexations short story was originally published in the Twilight and Thorns horror anthology--but that has since gone out of print. So it's being brought to you here as a stand alone short story. Cab driver, Vex Harrow, picks up a strange passenger during one of her late night fares and discovers there's more to him than there seems when he vanishes mid-trip.

When a little girl loses her cat, Vex takes up the case to help hunt it down again. Although her motives aren't as pure as she lets on--the cat isn't any ordinary cat, but a dangerous shapseshifting monster posing as a domestic furry friend.The cat has already killed a man and risks are high. But how could this work out? Does Vex have to disappoint Holly over her beloved pet?

Something strange is happening in the neighborhood of Tempe and Phoenix and occult investigator Vex Harrow is on the case. Shortly after taking on a VIP transport gig from her dad, mostly the boring job of driving a construction consultant around in her taxi, she discovers that people have been dying at construction sites....and things are not so ordinary.

Volume 2 of Mill Avenue Vexations – The story continues into the next three chapters with the disappearance of one of the kids who performed the ritual at ASU. Vex visits a gypsy, Madame Summer, for advise about a particular magickal item she found at the site. Fear runs high when further strangeness stalks the remaining ritual performers and Vex attempts to find them before something evil does.
