This is a collection of poems inspired by life. My childhood was not easy but I was not alone. I wrote these as a way to heal myself as words cruelly spoken became my prison. I grew as I wrote them and I realized only I had the power to change my life. The character of a person is not measured by the beauty on the outside but by the beauty of their heart, the power to forgive and the gift of love. I hope these words can help others as they have helped me. You are not alone
