Castle Itter.A fictional retelling of the true story of the siege of Castle Itter. In the waning days of the war, a small force of American soldiers is tasked with defending Castle Itter from hundreds of SS troops. The German soldiers inside the castle cast their fate with the Americans. The only battle of the war in which Americans and Germans fought side by side.

Dog Tag is a fictional story about a very real war. It follows the life and thoughts of Corporal Tom Fuller through the final year of World War II as his service takes him from the invasion of Normandy to the surrender of Japan. Borrowed from real world stories and little known events of the war, Dog Tag asks big questions about the war while focusing on the heroism of the ordinary people who lived and died during the conflict.

Loyalty Police.As Tom's unit pushes into Germany, they confront another problem: the SS loyalty police left behind to prevent locals from surrendering to American forces. Tom has to play detective to uncover all the loyalty police.

The Hibakusha. The war in Europe over, Tom is sent to the Pacific to cover what he believes will be the Allied invasion of Japan. But fate intervenes and he is suddenly given a different, but just as harrowing story to tell.

Tom joins a "casserole unit" made of the survivors of other units that were destroyed on D-Day. The casserole unit is given the job of confirming that the town of St Lo has been abandoned by the Germans. But not everyone has abandoned the fight.

Foxholes and Casinos.Tom and his friends get pinned down during the Battle of the Bulge, forcing Tom to make a daring rescue as the battle rages, with luck providing the final verdict on heroism.
